The 7th form                        
The subject. Family Relationship.
Objectives.  – To practise the vocabulary on the topic;
-         to practise oral speech on the basis of the corresponding topic;
-         to improve phonetic and lexical skills of the pupils;
-     to help pupils understand the main values of life.     
                                                                                                   
Expected results: Pupils have to discuss their relationship with relatives and friends. 

Materials: the book, a CD player, individual cards, a computer, a projector.

Procedure
      1.     Warming up. 
a)     Glad to see you, my dears, at the lesson. I hope everything is good in your families. Did you say "Good-bye" to your parents?
By the way, how do you usually leave homes for school?
Do you kiss mums on the cheek, do you tell them anything?
b)     Let’s play a little. The rules are easy. There are cards with the description of a person. You are to come up, to choose a card, to read it out and then to give it to a person, whom this description suits best of all. And of course you should give reasons for your choice.

You look very intelligent!
I'd like to drink tea with you!
You’ve got a thoughtful face!
You are the very person to dance with at the party!

2.     Checking up homework.

3.     Vocabulary practice.
Pupils revise the stages of life.





 A baby           a toddler           a child        a teenager          an adult             elderly people.

They describe relationship between children and parents on every stage of life.
The toddler is so small. He needs the parents’ care all the time. He isn’t responsible for anything, because he can’t walk or speak. He is learning to do these things…

4.     Speaking.
Problems between teenagers and adults.
What do parents and teenagers argue about?
Describe your relationship with your parents / sister / brother and you.

5.     Watching a video.
a)     Pre-watching.
Do you have good relationship with your classmates?
Are there any problems between you and them? Which?
Do you tease anybody? Why?

b)    While-watching.
Watch the video and say if the sentences refer to Chloe or Craig. Write a–h into the correct group

Group B: The grandchildren are talking to their grandparents. The grandparents are very kind. They know much, love their grand children always provide them some money. The grandchildren like to help their grandparents, listen to their stories.

7.     Listening.

We should always remember about our elderly grandparents. Complete the rules to treat our grandparents and two more.
